of Giving
Once again we have the opportunity to assist the
Multi Service Center with making Christmas special
for those in need. Here are some dates to add to
your calendar. If you have any questions call Lynne
Long at 253-839-8569.
Christmas House Set-Up: December 9, 9:00am-2:00pm
BPUMC will be moving boxes from the Multi-Service
Center on 336th in Federal Way to Steel Lake
Presbyterian Church. At least a dozen volunteers are
needed.
Giving Tree: December 16, 10:00am-9:00pm
Two-hour slots will be available for our church
members to hand out Giving
Tree tags and receive gifts at the Federal Way
Commons.
Christmas House: December 18, 20, & 21, 10:00am to
4:00pm & Evening Christmas House.
December 19, 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Volunteers are needed
at Steel Lake Presbyterian to help families choose
gifts.
Christmas House take-down & clean-up, December 28,
9:00am-2:00pm
At least a dozen volunteers are needed at Steel Lake
Presbyterian Church.
Giving at BPUMC
During December we will be collecting items and
passing them along to the Multi-Service Center. The
items they need are: New and used games and
children’s books; teenage gifts; socks; wrapping
paper. December 17th is the last day to bring your
gifts to church.

Sunday School
Dear Families,
We are excited to be starting a new Sunday school year! Our new curriculum
follows the church seasons. We will all
be learning together about the colors and meanings of each season.
All of the Bible passages for this season come from the Gospel of Luke. The
children will follow Jesus on his way to Jerusalem. They will hear him
instruct his disciples, tell parables to the crowds, and debate
questions with the religious leaders. Along the way, the kids will pick up
many clues about being disciples themselves.
As we ourselves seek to be faithful disciples and to be role models of faith
for your child, we ask for your prayers to guide our way. We too will be
praying for each family represented in our class.
